Many of the prompts for the Jellybean Dragon group require user submitted work to get rewards.
This guide is here to show what we expect when we outline specific requirements for prompts!

Background Requirements  ★ Character RequirementsWriting Requirements

Background Requirements

Non-Rewardable BG

  • ❌ Flat colors/gradients
  • ❌ Little to no definition
  • ❌ Vague and nonspecific
  • ❌ Stock photos
  • ❌ Patterns

 Minimum Background Requirements

  • ✅Shading
    • Shading does not have to be intense, just enough so we can actually see the shadows. Gradients do not count as shading.
  • ✅Definition
    • Try not to make your background elements too fuzzy or obscured so we can understand where your bean is.
  • ✅ Specific background/foreground elements
    • These do not have to be large, but just enough so your scene isn't empty.
  • ⚠️Due to the nature of underwater, snow, and space scenes, we ask that more elements are added to your art if you do choose to do these types of backgrounds.
Background with no issues

  • ✅ Shading and highlights
  • ✅ Clear foreground, middle-ground and background
  • ✅ Multiple different elements within one scene

Character Requirements

Fullbody

80% of the body or more
Small obscurities are okay, but majority of limbs must be visble

Halfbody

60% of the body
Majority of torso must be visible
Either option or an in-between of both (at least two out of the five limbs showing) will count for this category
For anthro/human, the requirement is ribcage and above

Bust

Defined as "above the shoulders"
Even if the front arms are included in the piece, if the cutoff is at the shoulders or the arms aren't fully connected to the body, it is counted as a bust.
For anthro/human, the requirement is shoulders + pectorals and above

Headshot

★ Minimum for Tracer's Gallery sketches (Headshots do not count for the other categories.)
For anthro/human, if the cutoff is less than a anthro/human bust it's a headshot
★ Please note this category is NOT a bust. Busts require the shoulder and above to count. If the cutoff is at the neck, it will be considered a headshot.

Examples

Characters and their designs should be easily distinguishable even if simplified or in black and white
Lineart doesn't have to be clean but should look polished enough to be a finished piece
Shading doesn't have to be extensive but should be clearly distinguishable as such. A gradient does not count as shading.
If it’s unclear your piece has shading in the thumbnail, it probably will not count for the bonus.
Sketches are unfinished works or pieces that are too rough to be considered into any of the other categories.
There is no size minimum for pieces, but if you go too small you risk losing clarity (and tokens!!!)
☆ When using an image from TH, provide a direct link (copying the image URL) to your image as we will reject the submission if we have a hard time reaching the image.
This also goes for any websites that do not provide easy access to images.

Writing Requirements

Must meet the wordcount on a given prompt
Piece has a clear beginning, middle, and end
If multiple characters must be present to meet a specific requirement, each character must be a significant part of the story
(bystanders or one sentence interactions do not count)
Please provide the wordcount at the end of your submission!
